My call to ministry

Right after my conversion experience, I felt my responsibility to serve God with all of my life. I asked life from Him to use it to serve Him. I wasnt equipped to do many things and wasnt a gifted person for ministry. But I became hungry to know the Bible and to do anything in the name of the Lord. At that point ministry for me meant visiting old people to help them, chopping wood for the sick people, sharing my experience with God to others. I did not have any idea that God wants me be a preacher or a teacher, because of my very big problem of stuttering. My pastor, seeing my heart willing to do anything for God encouraged me to start to share short messages at the home meetings, but it did not work. Even in the public school and felt very bad, because I was not able to communicate. I cannot forgot my first sermon. It was the hardest one for me and I thing even harder for the people listening to me. I came home and in my prayer I said God, its over for me.  You know that I have suffered so much because of my problem of stuttering and from this point I do not care anymore about it. If its OK for You to have this kind of preachers like me, this is now Your problem! God listened to my prayer and I realized that He has no problems, because He has healed me.  In fact, I do not know when I started to speak without stuttering and that was a special sign that God wants to use me in the ministry of preaching the Gospel. I started to preach in small churches, in home groups during that hard time of communism system in Romania and God blessed me with growth in the ministry of preaching.

The main point in my ministry came in the day of 19th of December 1989, when the Romanian Revolution began, and Chaushesku, the communist leader of Romania was overturned. I was in my workshop listening to the national radio when the news came: The communism fell! Chaushesku is not any more! God is with us! We are free!. Listening to these news, I said to myself that if this is really true, I will promise God to serve Him, preaching the Gospel in a full time ministry. The news was true. I gave up my job, spending my money and walking from a village to another, preaching the Gospel and living by faith and I knew that this was Gods call for me. Preaching the Gospel, I started new churches and God extended my vision for church planting, church administration, ministry of charity and world missions, as well. My vision was growing according to my experience with God and according to my ministry, as well. I am praying, asking God to keep my vision growing more and more.
