My personal “philosophy” of ministry

Ministry for me means obedience in serving God in the place, in the time and in the position that He chooses. I know that I am called by God to plant churches and to prepare church planters in Republic of Moldova. This is a work of faith and involves sacrifice. As a minister I believe:

1.                 I must serve God, first of all and not men. That means discipline in reading the Bible and prayer, and a fresh relationship with God.

2.                 My relationship with God is to produce my ministry to people. That is God’s response to their spiritual and physical needs.

3.                 The ministry needs to be based on the Bible principles which are unchangeable, but I can use modern methods and strategies.

4.                 The fellowship in ministry brings experience or blindness, depending on who do you fellowship with. I prefer to have fellowship with the great people of God.

5.                 The ministry needs to be balanced between spiritual and social assistance. I believe that I should avoid the mistake of serving just to spiritual needs, neglecting the social assistance, but also,  I should not forget my spiritual work, because of the social assistance.

6.                 The ministry needs much more ministers, therefore I need to equip disciples to share my ministry. There is no success without successors.

7.                 The ministry cannot stay with no growth. It is either growing or dying. I need to keep it growing.

8.                 The minister does not grow with his ministry. He continues to be a minister (servant). I want to have my ministry grow and God grow by it in the eyes of the men.

9.                 The ministry is not to depend on money and is not a way of making money - it is not a business. But doing ministry we need money, which we receive through faith from God, by His provision.

10.             The ministry is a dangerous place. There are many temptations and trials. Only the one who overcomes, will be rewarded.

O, Lord, help me to keep focused on these statements all of my life!
