Biography

My name is Garry Menke. I was born in Barberton, Ohio in 1958. I grew up in Barberton. I lived in the same house and attended the same church until I graduated from High School. My home church was the Cathedral of Tomorrow. Rex Humbard was the pastor. After graduation, I went to a two year Bible school in Santa Rosa, California, called Genesis.

In 1978 I started my ministry in Wadsworth, Ohio. For one year I served as youth pastor before going to a one year mission trip with Youth With A Mission in the North Pacific Islands of Guam and Saipan. After, my missions trip, I went back to Wadsworth and work as Youth and Assistant Pastor for 6 years. At Wadsworth part of my responsibilities were to train intern pastors. During this time, I finished my B.A. in theology from Berean College.

After leaving Wadsworth Ohio. I ministered as an Associate Pastor of Grace Assembly in Spring City, PA. I stayed at this church, which was 40 minutes from Philadelphia, for 6 years. During this time I worked on my Master’s degree from AGTS. In this position, I also trained intern pastors. The Lord was preparing me for what was ahead.

In 1993, we started to prepare to go to the Kingdom of Tonga in the South Pacific. I ministered as the Principal of the school for 4 years. While on Tonga I was able to join in an extension program for my Doctorate of Ministry from Faith Evangelical Lutheran Seminary. I graduated this program and the King of Tonga gave us our diplomas.

In 1999 we felt called to Modova. This country was part of the former Soviet Union. Our location is north of the Black Sea, and between Romania and Ukraine.

I minister as the Academic Dean and teach classes at the Bible School in Chisinau.
