This picture was taken in the day of the 15th anniversary of Iurie and Rodicas marriage. Also on this day their new family celebrated one month since the day they moved to Bethany with their own children Igor and Corina plus another six former street children. We visited the family on this day and were deeply moved by the atmosphere of love and acceptance in their house. In this very short time they became good friends. Before these six children came to Bethany we visited some of their homes. The conditions were miserable and the children were obviously neglected. Now the contrast is striking. Truly, our God is a God of miracles.
When we asked the parents if they feel any difference in their attitude toward their natural and adopted children, they said that God had placed in their hearts such a great love for all the kids that they see them all alike. Its a very important decision to commit your life to raise so many children. The parents said that from the very moment when the camp was purchased, they felt Gods calling for this ministry. "Then it was just a dream for us, now it has become a reality", they said.

Rodica accepted the Lord in her heart in 1995. Her two children also attended the church with their mother at that time. From the very beginning of her Christian life she was eagerly praying for the salvation of her husband. Three years later God answered her prayers and Iurie became a born again Christian. From that moment the Lord has abundantly blessed their family. Iurie started a new, profitable business which helped the family solve their former financial problems. After a short time he felt the Lords call to commit his life to work for God. So, his ministry began working as a driver and mechanic at the Christian Complex. Later Iurie and his wife were led to begin caring for former street children. Now, they testify with great joy of the wonderful plan of God in their lives.

God is calling many other families to this ministry. At the same time so many street children are begging at the street corners and traffic lights and are seeking their food in the trash cans. These children long for the love and warmth of a normal family. Is God also calling you to support this ministry through prayer and financial support? "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world". (James 1:27)

A very special event for us was the dedication of the third house called "Davids House". The parents are Doru & Nadia Cirdei. They have three children of their own, plus three more former street children. Many members of Philadelphia Pentecostal Church pastored by brother Doru took part in this dedication service and shared the joy of this family. Representatives of the Government participated at this celebration and shared words of appreciation for the ministry we are involved in. Among the guests was a construction team of twenty-one Christians from West County, Louis, USA, accompanied by Pastor John Wilson (foto below). They blessed us by remodeling the inside of house number 5.

The children from Bethany are students at "New Elim"Christian School where they get a basic education and of course learn about God. Its so wonderful to see how these children, who formerly used to live without hope, love and family warmth, are becoming normal children, able to be happy in their childhood. Its not an easy work, but the Lord is helping us. Every day the children are offered the chance to accept Jesus in their heart. Many of them had responded and became born again Christians. Our responsibility is to give these children happiness and to lead them on the path of eternity with God. May the Lord help us in this!

AN EXEMPLARY PASTOR

Pauls House from Bethany Christian Center, a family counting 12 children under the care of Nicolae and Viorica Dodu (foto on left), share the joy of the experience in prayer. For a long time they have been praying for a washing machine. In October, brother Nicky Pop, senior pastor of Philadelphia Romanian Pentecostal Church, Portland, OR, USA, visited Republic of Moldova. God chose to answer the prayer of these children and parents, through brother Nicky, who purchased with his personal money an automatic high performance washing machine. These children are not praying anymore for a washing machine, but they thank God and pray for the blessing of brother Nicky.
