On October 29, 2000, in "Light of the World" Pentecostal Church in Balti, Moldova, an ordination service took place. Anatol Ganceri and Sergiu Cremneac, both graduates of Pentecostal Theological Seminary, were ordained as deacons. The ordination service was conducted by the bishops of the Pentecostal Union of Republic of Moldova, Petru Borsci and Victor Pavlovski. Many other ministers assisted.

We rejoice in the Lord for the wonderful work that is going on in this church. It was planted in 1998 by pastor Doru Cirdei and a team of young people from Philadelphia Pentecostal Church of Chisinau. Later, the responsibility for the church was passed on to students Anatol and Sergiu. As a result of much evangelism in the culture house, in the tent, on the streets, etc., many people accepted Jesus into their hearts and joined this church. Now there are 24 members in this church. The Sunday morning Romanian service is attended by 60 to 70 people and the evening Russian service has 130 in attendance.

The church is actively involved in work with the street children. Weekly Bible studies are held on topics that include spiritual growth, learning how to preach the Gospel, etc. A very efficient way for consolidation of the church and for reaching out to the unbelievers is the home fellowship groups. The youth meeting is attended by 50 to 60 young people. By the grace of God, the construction of the church building started and the Lord is blessing it!
